Kids 'R' Kids' Founders Mark Fifty Years in Child Care

Duluth, GA, – From its humble beginning in the Vinson's Decatur, Georgia home in March of 1961, the Kids 'R' Kids system of early childhood centers has grown to a franchise of over 160 schools in fourteen states, with at least two additional markets being added this year. During the ensuing five decades Pat and Janice Vinson, co-founders of Kids 'R' Kids International, Inc., have constantly reinvented themselves and their franchise to maintain the company's leadership position in the early childhood education arena.

Headquartered in the Atlanta suburb of Duluth, Georgia, Kids 'R' Kids has been an industry trendsetter, laying claim to several 'firsts.' It was the first to introduce the open floor plan in all of its centers, with floor to ceiling tempered class throughout each school. To further enhance this security feature, Kids 'R' Kids was the first to introduce secure internet access to each classroom, giving families and other loved ones the ability to check in on their child from their office down the street, or from a battlefield half a world away. Most recently, Kids 'R' Kids was the first to announce widespread adoption of interactive classrooms at the preschool level by installing iStartSmart® and TeachSmart® systems in markets throughout its fourteen state service area.
