Q.   What qualifications do I need to operate a Kids ‘R’ Kids School of Quality Learning?

A.   From our standpoint, the Franchisee must have the time to devote to managing a Kids ‘R’ Kids center. Prior business experience and management skills are definitely an asset. It is equally necessary for you to meet the licensing requirements determined by your state. Most states have rigorous licensing procedures which must be followed by the Franchisee and director. We will help you step by step in the licensing of your center.

Q.   Will I need to have a facility built?

A.   Yes. Kids ‘R’ Kids centers are free-standing structures adjacent to well traveled roads and convenient to either residential neighborhoods or office complexes. Our centers have between ten and eleven large rooms. The rooms will accommodate from 10 to 50 children each, depending on their ages. Each Kids ‘R’ Kids center has a reception area, a combination dining and entertainment room, complete kitchen facility, storage areas, office space, and age appropriate fenced playgrounds.

Q.   What can I expect in terms of initial support from Kids ‘R’ Kids International?

A.   Our program is designed to guide you from the time you make the decision to purchase a franchise. In addition to counseling you in necessary financial matters, the most important step is selecting an appropriate site to build your child care center and gaining exclusivity to that territory. The right location is critical to the success of your center and we have been successful in determining appropriate sites.

Kids ‘R’ Kids floor plans and interior designs are considered among the best in the industry. We assist in finding qualified contractors to bid on your building and we also provide the right equipment and extensive support in selecting the best possible staff.

Q.   What about training?

A.   Kids ‘R’ Kids offers new franchisees extensive training at our corporate office. Using our proven techniques, you will learn everything you need to know about operating a profitable child care center. Your initial training is guided by a detailed Daily Operations Manual which provides you with information on policies and procedures for every facet of operation.

We continue to support the franchisees through on-going training programs. We keep staff members up-to-date on every facet of the daily operation, even to the point of providing daily menu suggestions. Each center is inspected on a regular basis to assure that the necessary resources are available for efficient operation. We’re there when you need us.

Q.   What steps has Kids ‘R’ Kids taken to address parents’ concerns about security for their children?

A.   The design of each Kids ‘R’ Kids center, combined with the policies and procedures established in our program, provide a safe, secure environment for every child. Each center is built with glass interior walls, so there is open, visual contact and the rooms are equipped with a camera, so the Franchisee or director can view activities from a remote monitor without disrupting classroom activities.

Each new center is equipped with Internet Service to enable parents to view their child through their office computer. This gives mom and dad the chance to see for themselves that their child is being cared for in a loving, secure environment.

Playground activities are carefully planned and monitored for safety and all staff members are required to be certified in basic first aid and CPR.
